The response has been heart-warming to see all the contributions from the many wrestlers coming together to provide quotes, stories and additional content for this project.
MULTIPLE FOREWORDS FROM TOP NAMES…
We received SEVEN forewords for the book so we gave you them all! These in-depth passages are original writings just for Kamala Speaks penned by: Jim Ross, Mick Foley, Insane Clown Posse’s Violent J, Jerry Jarrett, Chavoe Guerrero, Bill Watts, & Koko B Ware. There are also never seen before pictures taken by Jim Cornette!
MORE QUOTES AND CONTENT…
Aside from 300 plus pages written by James “Kamala” harris with Kenny Casanova about his life, other quotes and content have also been provided by many great wrestlers and people close to the industry.
Some of these include:Jake “The Snake” Roberts, Barry Darsow, Hacksaw Duggan, Kevin Sullivan, Bruce Prichard, Jacques Rougeau, Nikolai Volkoff, King Kong Bundy, Lanny Poffo, Dallas Page, Jesse Barr, Boris Zhukov, Ivan Koloff, Brian Blair, Bill Anderson, Marty Jannetty, Bobby Fulton, Tom Brandi, Steve Cox, Ken Resnick, Bill Apter, Izzy Slapowitz, & Gil Culkin
Immediately after finishing our first draft, we called another “wrestling bad-ass” to see if we could put the two together. It turned out, this guy was one of “the biggest Kamala fans ever, as a kid.”
With that being said, former WWE CHampion, STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN was nice enough to let Kamala be a guest on his Aug 19, 2014 podcast.
Kamala was then able to promote his book and launch this campaign first on one of the best wrestling talk shows out there today. You can find hit here at “THE STEVE AUSTIN SHOW.”
Two days after the dust had settled from Austin’s podcast interview, Stacie Parra, a podcast producer at Podcast one dropped us a line. It seems that Roddy Piper wanted to interview Kamala for his podcast, too!
Piper’s chat with Kamala will be found as the September 8th, 2014 airing of his show, as these two go as far back as working together back in the early 80s and with a lot of common interests to speak. James said this was his favorite interview ever, and PIper said he “really learned a life lesson about the positive attitude that James Harris has about life.” You can find it here at “PIPER’S PIT”
